This Street Festival, towards the protection of both tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Geroge Town UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), takes place yearly in the George Town World Heritage Site:
- St George’s Church
- Church of the Assumption
- Kapitan Keling Mosque
- Kramat Dato Koyah
- Nattukotai Chettiar Temple
- Sikh Police Gurdawara
- Malay Acheen Street Mosque
- Thai Pak Koon Temple (Ng Suk)
What completes the festive ambience is the participation of over 20 local communities in sharing their culture and traditions.
The cultural and interactive performances and stories, add to the celebrations as a whole in enhancing the experience for the celebration-goers. All these incorporation contributes to magnifying the experience of living in the heritage of George Town.
